To enhance integration of driver and car, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) includes driver assist technology. Competition Mode ESC is an Australian production first offering greater feel through corners than traditional electronic stability settings. Extended Cruise Control (ECC), another example of technology leadership, modulates your speed to keep you legal through every rise and fall of the road.

A unique human/machine relationship begins as your HSV E2 takes shape. Hundreds of new E2 components are fitted by the highly skilled technicians at our production facility in Clayton, Victoria. From the Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) to the exhaust tips, much of your HSV E2 is assembled by hand. Before the finished product is allowed to leave our premises, every detail is checked by a uniquely precise instrument – the human eye. It’s a state of the art process that elevates, rather than replaces, the importance of craftsmanship. Pride becomes a standard feature. Perfection becomes instinctive.

This is E2 times two. two distinct shapes, one thrilling drive. With the extra versatility of the Tourer wagon joining the ClubSport R8 stable, you’re spoiled for choice. Both pack 317kW of power behind their shockwave inspired front grilles, unique driving lamps and surrounds, Daytime Running Lamps and Performance hood with dual scoops. In either, the driver is at one with the machine, connected through both the alloy faced pedals and the leather wrapped, multi function steering wheel, with critical information conveyed via the 6.5" multi-function colour LCD screen.

Driving is just one of the ways that you and your ClubSport R8 sedan become one. It also immerses you in 230 Watts of sound, played through 11 speakers including subwoofers – with the volume automatically matched to the vehicle’s speed. It surrounds you in safety with six airbags, ready to protect you and your passengers in an instant.

The driver's seat offers 4-way electric adjustment, while for maximum comfort whether you’re crossing the Nullarbor or hitting the ski fields, dual zone electronic climate control allows different conditions to be set for the driver and front passenger.

Loading up becomes effortless with the ClubSport R8 Tourer’s 60/40 split fold rear seats. The 2000 litre maximum cargo capacity swallows up bulky luggage with ease. The adjustable luggage net and retractable cargo cover keep everything securely in place. As an added safety feature Rear Park Assist with Reverse Camera comes standard, to make reversing as instinctive as driving forward. Machine and driver truly work as one.
